Sipo is my pen name, but I have been taken care of by Sharp on many occasions. It is a great hospital with kind and caring staff. I like them so much that I donate to their foundation. Wonderful place!

As the frequent flyer of ER in my relationship...I am familiar with where to not go. So when partner got a sudden mysterious illness-I sent him here. He's still there. He has been for 2 weeks and today was surgery. I'm writing this on his account because I can't figure out the technology in our house without him. He is my beloved, my world-- which recently got completely turned upside down. Grossmont, Hillcrest-- they've put me in corridors and basements. This Sharp-- downside is the wait, but the wait is for great personalized care in your own solo room! I sat with my husband everyday from open to close visiting hours. We laughed, I cried, but we endured the lengthy 2 week stint void of agony. There were all-star highlights in each location The nurses of the 7th floor- Thank you! My boo does not never no how a hospital- you all kept him comfortable and looked upon....and I've never seen him not be shy-but it was balls out pajamas without shame! That really says something about the level of care to let it all hang out among professionals. Special mention: Kim-attentive,concerned, considerate. Male and female nurse i popped in afternoon at desk to pester removing painful IV....you guys looked like u were loving life- and when I walked up to nicely ask wife You were both so pleasant and charming...and when I voiced concern you followed up at his room. We always feel in safe honest hands here. Dr. ZHENG -Thank you for being clear about what we could expect when tests had everyone stumped. Dr. OSTRUP and Dr. YOGO Thanks for giving it to us straight. And a prompt execution on the surgery. His assistant Erika- for promptly taking my calls and her reassurance post open. The 4th floor nurses-- especially Natalie who had to endure not just me but aunt Paula hovering and pushing and pressing a speedy discharge. Forgive us. Dr. Maslov- I especially want to praise for the special attention to detail of our case. The follow up the advocacy-- I really felt like you were hitting

I intentionally sought out a second ER because the first one I went to was very dismissive, didn't ask for or respect my consent to everything that was happening, and even acted irritated that I was involuntarily reacting to severe pain with some movement/sound/shaking. My partner was horrified at how I was treated at the first ER we had gone to. My experience here was significantly better, and I'm really grateful for the kindness of the team. They kept me informed, the triage nurse was helpful, and I was seen quickly. They were very patient with attempting different forms of numbing as I had a labial abscess that was more sensitive than any other wound situation I have had before, and it was preventing me from walking. No pain meds were calming it down past a 6 on the pain scale. It is an inherently very painful experience to remove, but when localized numbing and the first round of numbing injections didn't take (I've never had a positive experience with localized numbing, I might just be lidocaine resistant or something), they actually gave me options instead of just sending me home without doing the necessary drainage. Big thank you to the doctor for his kindness, to the nurses for their immense help and empathy. I still feel it for sure and it still will be a recovery process, but I feel significantly better already!

Went in on 04/03/2026 close to midnight and got discharged on 04/04/42026 around 5ish. I came in for kidney stones and from the moment I came in to the moment I left, my nurses Katie, RN & Sharen, RN were absolutely amazing. They regularly checked up on me and gave me updates reguarding any pending orders. The pod that our room was is (D pod I belive) was really cold but they made sure that not only did i have enough blankets but my father was comfortable as well. Before being discharged they ensured all my questions were answered and went over all the discharged paperwork with me. Thank you both for all that you do❤️

I was traveling and needed an ER. The whole visit was under 2.5 hours and I was treated with respect, dignity and they heard me. Dr. Bailey was excellent and the 2 male nurses that checked me in were fantastic. Thank you so much for making such a stressful and scary experience less stressful.

I've been a Caregiver many years, taken disabled clients to hospitals often. Sharp Memorial and Sharp Mesa Vista are stellar. I've never experienced a more diligent and caring Staff of doctors, nurses, actually everybody! Incredible hard working RN Case MaWhen. (Super hero lady) and Social Services, awesome too! I was there 4 days or so with client. The wonderful Nurses on 8th floor, thank you! Nothing compares. It was an honor meeting these incredibly efficient and kind hearted professionals. Thank you, Dr. Thomas in ER and Dr. Shen.

We usually go to Sharp Grossmont because it’s closer to us, but this time we brought my uncle to Sharp Memorial and I’m really glad we did. Before coming, I had seen some mixed reviews and wasn’t sure what to expect, but our experience has been very positive so far. The nurses and staff have been so kind, caring, and patient. You can tell they are truly trying their best. They’ve been very thorough and made us feel like they were checking everything carefully and not missing anything, which means a lot to our family. The hospital is definitely very busy and we’ve been waiting in the ER for over a day without getting a room yet, but honestly that seems more because of how full it is and not because people aren’t trying. Even with how busy they are, everyone has still treated us with care and respect. Thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Sharp Memorial for everything you’re doing for my uncle and for making a difficult time feel a little easier.

All of the staff here was amazing. Everyone was super nice, patient & communication was very good. They communicated everything very clearly to make sure I understood. I had to visit the ER from an assault & Shantel was my RN she was the sweetest, nicest & made me comfortable during my time being admitted. The ER doctor explained everything very thorough & follow up advisements as well. Shantel & ER DR on duty (forgot his name) , deserve the recognition! Thank you guys for making my visit easy & fast.

I came to this hospital as an emergency for a kidney stone, and from the moment I walked into the ER, everything moved quickly and smoothly. The staff treated me with real care and respect. I never felt like a burden at any point. Everyone I interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely supportive. I stayed for 4 days, and everything was on point — clean room, great environment, and a team that truly cares about their patients. You can feel the humanity in the way they do their work. A big thank you to Dr. Arman S. Walia. I truly appreciate your professionalism and the way you handled my procedure. You made a stressful situation much easier for me. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would absolutely recommend this hospital

I was recently admitted to Sharp Memorial Hospital and I wanted to share my experience. From the moment I arrived, the level of professionalism and care I received was truly outstanding. A special thank you to Jocelyn R and Jessica R from Unit 5 North. They were extremely professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. They both went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of, which made a difficult time much more pleasant. I would also like to recognize RN Arturo, who demonstrated incredible compassion and professionalism. His dedication to patient care did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated. The staff on this unit truly made my stay much more comfortable, and I’m grateful for the care and kindness they showed me. Thank you to the entire team at Sharp Memorial Hospital for the excellent care.
